Use the online submission system to submit abstracts for RSNA 2009. The submission deadline is 12:00 p.m. Central Time on April 15. Abstracts are required for scientific papers, scientific posters and education and applied science exhibits.
Residents and Fellows Can Receive Trainee Research Prize
North American residents/physics trainees, fellows and medical students who submit abstracts for RSNA 2009 will be eligible for a Trainee Research Prize. Submissions will undergo the usual peer-review process and, if accepted for presentation, the authors will receive a letter of invitation to submit a 2,000-word abstract for consideration for the Trainee Research Prize. A prize certificate and $1,000 are presented to the recipient during the scientific session in which the award-winning paper or poster is given.

Images submitted by Matthew Ripplinger, M.D., and Dheeraj Reddy Gopireddy, M.D., M.P.H., have been selected as Outstanding Image Contest winners and will be used to illustrate existing pages of RadiologyInfo.org, the RSNA/ACR public information Web site. Submissions are now being accepted for the next quarter. See winning images and submission information here.

See into the Future with Journal E-TOC Alerts
In mid-March, RSNA members will begin receiving e-mail messages from RSNA alerting them to future Radiology and RadioGraphics tables of contents. The E-Tables of Contents (E-TOC) give members a preview of articles to come with links to summaries of anticipated abstracts. Customize which alerts you receive for both Radiology and RadioGraphics.

Roentgen Resident/Fellow Research Awards
Deadline for Nominations: April 1
Program directors or department chairs can recognize outstanding residents and fellows who have presented or published scientific papers, garnered research grants or otherwise contributed to research activities within a department by nominating them for a Roentgen Resident/Fellow Research Award. The RSNA Research & Education Foundation will provide plaques and awards to honor recipients. Learn more and download the form here.
Introduction to Research for International Young Academics
Deadline for Nominations: April 15
The RSNA Introduction to Research for International Young Academics program encourages young radiologists from countries outside the U.S. and Canada to pursue careers in academic radiology. The program consists of a special seminar held during the RSNA annual meeting.
Eligible candidates are residents and fellows currently in radiology training programs or radiologists not more than two years out of training who are beginning or considering an academic career. Nominations must be made by the candidate’s department chairperson or training director. Fluency in English is required. Download the nomination form here [Word doc.].

Bring Your Medical Opinion to Diagnosis Please
The popular “Diagnosis Please” feature in Radiology is open to monthly submissions from individual residents as well as groups of residents in training programs all over the world. At the end of the 12-case cycle, Radiology will announce the individual(s) or group(s) who have submitted the highest number of correct answers. The current issue features the case of a 12-year-old boy presenting with a history of pain in the right thigh.
