Radiology Wants Your Diagnosis … Please
The popular “Diagnosis Please” feature in Radiology welcomes monthly submissions from individual residents as well as groups of residents in training programs all over the world. At the end of the 12-case cycle, Radiology will announce those who have submitted the highest number of correct answers. The May issue features the case of a 43-year-old man admitted for new onset of bitemporal headache, bilateral lower extremity numbness and generalized tonic-clonic seizure. Read on and weigh in.
Best Cases from the AFIP Archives: Breast Masses in Children and Adolescents
Learn to recognize the features of each of the common breast masses in children and provide an age-appropriate differential diagnosis. Clinical, pathologic and imaging features of breast masses in children and adolescents are reviewed, with emphasis on radiologic-pathologic correlation, in the current issue of RadioGraphics.
Quality Initiatives: Imaging Pregnant Patients with Suspected Pulmonary Embolism
Pregnancy is associated with a fivefold increase in the prevalence of venous thromboembolism, but its diagnosis is complicated by physiologic changes unique to pregnancy, concerns about fetal radiation exposure and potential legal issues. The current issue of RadioGraphics shows you the advantages and disadvantages of various imaging modalities, dose reduction techniques and risk management in a practical, up-to-date review.
