See myRSNA® in Action
myRSNAStop by the myRSNA® kiosk in RSNA Services to receive one-on-one demonstration of myRSNA, the personalized member page on RSNA.org. Whether you’ve been using myRSNA since its debut or are just getting started, RSNA staff can show you how to create a central location where you can access all your radiology tools, education records and personal files anywhere you have a computer and an Internet connection. myRSNA has undergone dramatic changes since last year, including the addition of new tabs and widgets to further customize the page. Find out why myRSNA is the “homepage of radiologists worldwide.” Attendees can provide feedback via a short survey and receive a gift card for a gourmet coffee drink.

The myRSNA demo is also a great opportunity to learn about the Resident Learning Portfolio, a free Web-based portfolio that can be customized with an institution’s individual program materials and residents’ progress and credentials. If your institution is not yet participating, ask RSNA staff how your program directors and coordinators can get involved.

Heads Up on Grants and Programs

Deadline is Dec. 1 for NIH Loan Repayment Program
NIH will accept applications through Dec. 1 for its extramural Loan Repayment Programs (LRPs). The programs repay up to $35,000 of educational loan debt annually for individuals who commit to conducting at least two years of qualified biomedical or behavioral research at a nonprofit institution of their choice. The annual application cycle started Sept. 1 for the five extramural LRPs: Clinical Research, Pediatric Research, Health Disparities Research, Contraception and Infertility Research, and Clinical Research for Individuals from Disadvantaged Backgrounds. Learn the Fundamentals of Small Bowel Barium Studies
RadiologyDespite an array of sophisticated imaging techniques, the barium examination remains a valuable diagnostic test for structural abnormalities of the small bowel. Radiology’s November Review for Residents discusses the major diseases involving the mesenteric small bowel and presents a pattern approach for the wide spectrum of abnormalities found on barium studies.

Residents’ Best Cases Demonstrate Rare, Atypical Findings
RadioGraphicsResident submissions judged “best cases” at the completion of the radiologic pathology course at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology (AFIP) are highlighted in RadioGraphics. This month’s cases present atypical imaging features of bilateral Achilles tendon xanthomatosis and the very rare but potentially malignant biliary papillomatosis.
