Technical Exhibition Expands to Three Halls

With the demand for more exhibit space (from new companies wanting to participate to veteran exhibitors looking to enlarge) RSNA is expanding to a third building (Hall D/Lakeside Center) this year.

This addition will enable us to:

                         1. Accommodate more companies
                         2. Allow exhibitors a chance to expand their space
                         3. Provide additional food outlets
                         4. The return of Headquarter Offices back on the third level of each hall

The education exhibits, scientific posters, and other educational events previously held in Hall D have been relocated one level below to Hall E. Questions regarding this move and the expansion of the exhibition at McCormick Place are welcome and can be directed to the Technical Exhibits Department.

Rules & Regulations - Are They Really Important?

As in the past, the Rules & Regulations is a binding and important part of the contract between a company and RSNA. We encourage you to read all the rules for our 2008 meeting and refer to them during your planning cycle, as well as just before your trip to Chicago.

As always, if you need further clarification on any particular rule or regulation, just contact the RSNA Technical Exhibits Department. We will be happy to steer you in the right direction. The best exhibitor is the one that’s the most prepared for a given event!

Headquarter Office Space Returns to the Exhibit Floor

With the RSNA Technical Exhibition utilizing three buildings at RSNA 2008, the Exhibitor Headquarter Office Space will again be located in all three technical exhibit halls. These offices can be used by exhibiting companies as a (1) break/lunchroom, (2) check-in point/coatroom, and (3) place for staff to check in with the home office. This area cannot be accessed by professional meeting attendees, only exhibitor personnel are admitted.

If Headquarter Office Space can suit your needs, then just indicate the appropriate size on the RSNA Technical Exhibits Space Application/Contract.  Refer to the floor plan inside the Exhibitor Prospectus for placements of this area located in each hall.

Meeting Solutions & Tips

Maximize Your Space Assignment Priority Points

Exhibit space assignments are conducted by the RSNA Priority Point System.  Priority points are awarded to a company based on past participation (historical points) and when your application/deposit is received by RSNA (date points).  It is to your company’s benefit to return your exhibit space application by Monday, April 7 to earn the maximum priority points for your company.

If RSNA receives your application and 25% deposit on or before April 7, your company will earn the maximum date points (60).  Three date points are subtracted each business day until May 2 when all date points are exhausted.  Refer to the Date Point Calendar for full point schedule.  Companies will also earn four historical points for each consecutive year (three points for non-consecutive years) for the past 12 years that they have exhibited with RSNA.  The maximum amount of priority points that can be earned is 108.

The Priority Point System is used as guide during the space assignment process.  Other factors considered are hall preference, floor plan options, and competitor proximity. The first-round of booth assignments is scheduled to begin mid-May.  Don’t delay processing your application.  Typically, over 500 companies are included in the first-round of space assignments.  Assignments will be released on June 24 at the June Exhibitor Planning Meeting and mailed to all companies on that day.

ONE LAST WORD

“Don’t be afraid to give your best to what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one, it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones will tend to take care of themselves.”  -Dale Carnegie-
